If you contact us through this website, by email, telephone, text message or WhatsApp, we may receive your name, contact details, requested dates and any other information you choose to provide.

If you make a booking, we may also retain information relating to the booking, your stay and payments.

If you book through Airbnb, we receive the information Airbnb provides to us for the purpose of managing your booking.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• respond to enquiries;
• arrange and manage bookings and stays;
• communicate with guests; and
• maintain records where reasonably necessary for financial, tax, legal or administrative purposes.

Our main legal basis for using this information is that it is necessary to take steps at your request before making a booking, or to manage a booking once agreed. We may also use information where necessary to meet legal obligations or for the legitimate operation and security of Tamarisk Cottage.

We do not sell guest information or use enquiry details for unrelated marketing.

This public website does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not set cookies to track visitors.

Who receives your information

Enquiries submitted through this website are sent directly to us by our own server and are not handled by a third-party form service.

If you choose to communicate with us through services such as Airbnb or WhatsApp, those services process communications under their own privacy arrangements.

We otherwise share personal information only where necessary to manage a booking or where required by law.

How long we keep information

General enquiries which do not result in a booking are normally kept for no longer than 12 months after the last contact.

Information relating to bookings, payments and financial records may be retained for up to six years where necessary for accounting, tax or legal purposes.

Your rights

You have rights under UK data-protection law concerning personal information we hold about you, including rights to ask for access to, correction of, or in some circumstances deletion of your information.
