From Chichester:

• At the A27 / A286 roundabout, head south towards The Witterings on the A286.
• After 3.9 miles, turn left at the roundabout (just after the petrol station) onto Bell Lane, B2198.
• After 2 miles you reach Bracklesham Bay. Turn right by the Co-op onto Stocks Lane, B2179.
• After 0.7 miles you are in East Wittering village centre; turn left onto The Parade.
• After 200 yards, with the parade of shops on your left, turn left onto Shore Road.
• After 180 yards the cottage is on your left, with off-street parking for two cars on the drive, or three if you squash them in.

The nearest bus stop is at the top of Shore Road by the shops, about 180 yards from the cottage. Buses run regularly to and from Chichester — about every 15 minutes during the day, and every 30 minutes in the evening and on Sundays.

Chichester railway station is 7 miles away, opposite the bus station, with services to London, Brighton, Portsmouth, Southampton and beyond.

Correct — no pets, including in the garden. This is a family house with soft furnishings and a garden for children, so we keep a strict no-pets rule.

Two bedrooms, sleeping four. One room has a standard double; the other has a super-king that can split into two singles on request. We also provide a travel cot for infants — please bring your own bedding for a little one.

The shops are about a two-minute walk north — greengrocers, bakers, butchers, a fish shop, Tesco and the Co-op. The beach is 250m south, at the end of the road: sand and shingle once the tide is out. There is no lifeguard. We do not provide beach towels; please bring your own.

It is an original two-up, two-down. Bedrooms are upstairs. There is no ensuite: the bathroom (a shower bath) and a separate loo are downstairs. The staircase is steep and narrow. We provide gates at the top and bottom. Photographs of the stair are in the Gallery.

No. The sockets in the cottage are not for charging cars. There is a public charger in the village, behind Tesco.

This is a self-catering cottage, so breakfast is included if you make it yourself. It is also included if you walk across the road for a full English at The Boulevard Café and pay for it there.

Yes. We have children and grandchildren of our own. If you tell us ages, we can put out toys and books. There is a travel cot (bring bedding for little ones), a high chair, and children’s cutlery. The garden has a mud kitchen, a bug hotel, and a vegetable patch. The stair is steep and narrow; we provide two stair gates and ask you to take care on the stair.

Yes. It is waiting in the cottage when you arrive. We do not publish it online.
